If you go Hesston, a 2170XD or 2270XD will probably fit the bill the best. It won't beat a Krone HDP in straw, but should be more than adequate in alfalfa.
There's also the new 2370UHD, but it's not cheap. Still, for reference a 2270 is about 360 max load, an XD is 465 and a UHD is 760. Weight doesn't increase linearly with load, but between each of those steps is about a 10-20% bump in weight.
