Edit- don't know why this posted as a reply to Deerezilla (nice load!). I intended to reply to Ben.

I do some work for an outfit that exports 900k ton annually. They run a few balers, but feed their presses with fiber from a lot of operations. I have not paid much attention to that side of their operation for years. But if you want additional information from the press perspective and on how the Krone's wear over time, send me an email and I'll get some insight from the press manager. They roll the Krone's over pretty regularly, but I might be able to track down some rough operating costs as well from their equipment buyer next week.

Your point about parts is a good point. The outfits I work for on the east side of the state are prone to run equipment out to "ghost" status before they trade, and there is definitely a better supply of Hesston components in the scrap yards than there are Krone bones. Although, I am starting to see some old Krone units sitting along the I-5 corridor, so some of those units can't be far from the scrapyard either. It would sure be nice to have access to a salvage main gear case if one ever went south out of warranty.
