Stories like this are dreamed by sales persons of other brands.
Knowing they have a customer looking at another brand, they will invent horror stories.
Then they get repeated, again and again.
There are times when a product is down for a long period because of a missing part. But all brands, it can happen to a John Deere tractor living very close to Waterloo, a Case combine in central Nebraska, a AGCO tractor near Jackson Minnesota, etc.
Sometimes a needed part is just not in the parts system. No place.
A dealer or company of any company would do something. Get the part from another not being used machine.
Or a loaner machine for the customer to use.
Another thing a ‘Very Much Needed’ part from the other side of the world
would not be put on a boat.
