Armored farmer - 8/15/2019 08:30

We're seriously considering trading our 2388 for a 2014 Cat 750tt./8row cat head. We'll keep our 35' macdon.
My biggest issue is the parts store. The nearest dealer is a two hour drive for me.
The Service tech has a service truck and lives in our area.
If it weren't for the parts availability, I would trade in a minute. I feel foolish even considering the cat when I have two case-ih...and two JD dealers within 30 minutes of my farm....and two more of each color within an hour.
The thing is, we have a cat tractor that we like (hardly ever breaks down). And...... I want the tracks.
Are there any Claas/cat owners that have made the big switch from case or jd and regretted it? If so, why?

the dealer should be able to get you an on your farm parts setup. you get a job box and can get 3k=10k worth of parts at a discount and deferred payment. the day of needing/having a dealer a half hour from every farmer is getting farther and farther away. cat dealers already excel at mobile service.

the other part is farmers need to take care of themselves a little by having common wear stuff on hand.
