central mich

Friend had a 740 and two 760 about two or three years ago. Really liked them except for parts availability. So got two new S790 and used them one year and was upset about lack of capacity. Lex provide a parts depo and they are back to two 760TT and one 740 and happy again.
I was told in 240 bu corn (on board monitor ) about 3,000 bu/hr the 790 would start putting corn out the back with 12 row head. And they tried everything and all the reps were there.
About the same time I looked up the total sieve/cleaning area and as I recall the Lex has over 5,000 sq in vs 3,000 sq in.for the JD. I know JD has lengthened the sieve area but I wonder if there was a design flaw that is difficult to correct. There has been a few complaints here about that issue but I would have thought that there would be many.
Who knows???
