Subject: RE: 2014 JD 8320RT hydraulic issue

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I find the picture and instructions interesting. I notice that it refers to 8R wheel which I have, you do not. This seems to imply that SCV #1 is not the same as the others. I know this is true on some older smaller Deere tractors that I have owned also.

I use SCV #1 in continuous to provide oil for the frame lift and CCS pump on my planter. I now use SCV #2 for my spray pump, SCV #3 for the left vac pump, SCV #4 for the right vac pump. These are also set to continuous. SCV #5 is used for the markers which are rarely used anyway. It is set for a reasonable time/rate.

The vac returns on my planter are tee'd together and I could plug them into either SCV #3 or #4 but choose to connect them to the return port below the stack. My tractor has three couplers below the SCV stack: Power beyond - oil pressure out which I don't use, Return, which I do use for the return from my two vac pumps and Case Drain or zero pressure return which has a special coupler on it. It is the case drain for the three pumps on the planter. I always connect that hose first so that I don't forget to use it.
