Jerseys are tougher than they get credit for. I can’t imagine most straight jersey udders standing up to being sucked by a big calf, but if you’re concerned about them getting through the winter without shelter don’t be. I out winter straight jerseys, and other than some frostbite teats when I can’t get enough bedding have no problems with the animals.
