ESW ND
We had a jersey cross. She was black and had a tish of reddish brown highlights. She had 2 sets of twins and then a single. Wouldn't breed back anymore. Maybe the twin thing caused her issues. She was a pasture cow with the rest of the herd. We run red simmy bulls. Man she could raise calves. She went to town though. Also, have a full swiss running around out there. Bred the same. Nice red calf. You ain't gonna pick it out of the herd. A few Holstein bloods in the herd too. They are full black, but you can tell there's some influence. They don't take our winters quite as well, but there's no issues. Bags aren't milk cow bags either. Mostly depends on how much % if they make it up here or not. Some, no matter the %, are just more tolerable of ANY conditions. They will weed themselves out.
