Subject: RE: Macdon Header Smile. HELP!!

Kentucky

MacDon rep and my dealer tech said the new FD1 series heads are different and you can't go by the frown like previous models.  I have a FD135 and during the field start I mentioned that the frown didn't look right.  In fact it wasn't always the same when you pick the header up off the ground.  Sometimes it almost had a smile.  :)   If you set it like the book and get the wing balance correct, I wouldn't worry about the frown or lack thereof.  Check how it performs in the field.  The suspension and adapters have several changes and some of the old rules don't apply.  By the way, I love the performance of my FD135.
