North Central Illinois | It's not just genetics. Technology in general has played a huge role in today's yields. Some of that technology has no doubt helped us adapt to the changing climate. I think the point that is being made is that at the rate the climate is changing there will come a day when it will work against production agriculture. Up until now and probably for several years yet climate change has been a positive thing for production ag. That will not likely be that case down the road. Evolving technology may help to soften the blow to some extent but eventually it will start to go the other way. | |
