So in talking with my area rep about how/why my drive roller shaft broke last fall, and now 200 bales later my lower tailgate roller broke, he said they had some bad rollers out there, and have got a SN range for the drive rollers (early sn) but not so much yet on the other idler rollers. He warrantied the broken tailgate roller!
As far as belt tension goes he said that there is no issue running these balers in the yellow and wouldn't suggest I stop running there. Said the faulty rollers usually start showing up around that 4000 bale mark. When my drive roller failed it was at 3900, and when the idler roller failed it was at 4100ish.
Still though, even with the issues, I'm so glad they are standing behind the rollers on a baler that is 5 years old
Time will tell if we are out of the woods on the roller issues, I'm sure hoping so. |
