| I've got a 10 wheel, it's as good of a wheel rake as there is. You can adjust width on the go for point rows, and it rakes around corners good. We adjust the rear wind row width more than you would think depending on how heavy the hay is. I have the center kicker wheels, they work just OK, heavy stemmy grass wants to wrap up on them. A 12 wheel matches up with a wider cutting machine, while a 10 wheel works with 2 widths of a 11 foot cutter. I baled behind a 100 series 12 wheel yesterday for a neighbor that was cut with a 13 foot cutter,,,,it was too much hay for the rake, verrrryyy sloppy. Seems like 2 11 foot passes here is a sweet spot,,10 or 12 wheels doesn't matter. Alfalfa or light grass, a 12 out wide would be fine. See if the dealer will demo it
