Central NE | I live on the north side of Kearney between the wood river and dry creek which are normally a half mile apart but were one river over a mile wide at the crest. Never thought my basement would flood but the current was strong even in the yard. I got 6.5 iinches, people upstream got 8-10 inches in three hours. My family evacuated at 3 am in a tractor with the water a foot over the MFWD axle. Just glad to be alive. | |
