Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | Our wheat has been hammered with 2-5” of rain in the past week or so. Should be about to harvest right now. Going to have to wait a few days for ground to dry up. Expecting a good crop but harvest will be difficult.
As for price. Glad to see it come back as far as it has but it needs to be another dollar higher to make the crop worth growing. Fortunately contracted some a year ago above $5. Don’t know if we will get that chance for next years crop or not. |
