| I would highly suggest You get a demo if possible. I really thought I wanted a 450 quad until I demoed it !! I was running my 48 ft. 96 sweep field cultivator at 7.5 mph. My old Cat 765 used 14 gallons per hour; the 450 quad used 19 gallons per hour. There was a lot of parasitic horsepower loss with the quad. Second surprise was the 450 quad was noticeably rougher riding in the field. I did not expect that !!! Third surprise was that it did not make sharp turns on the end rows ; it was much more clumsy than I expected !!!
If You get a chance; demo a MT 743. Smooth , smooth , smooth. Seamless CVT tranny with an amazing smoothest ride in the industry. If You demo one, You will see what I mean. MT 743 is an amazing Tractor.
