custar ohio | Yes. They are better than advertised. I own several because of their versatility. They have replaced all Magnums and small 4 wheel drives on my farm.
First of all, just go straight to the 24" tracks and forget the rest if you are on 30" rows. You can do any row crop work you want with it with RTK. They are wide enough for flotation and narrow enough to get between corn rows until about the V8 stage. There are no speed limitations and THERE ARE NO BOOGIE WHEEL issues. That is an old wife's tale from the early rowtracs that I did experience but is long solved.
I do all of your mentioned jobs with 420 RT's. I am currently sidedressing corn with a 24 row 2510H. I usually pull it at 8.5 mph and don't know its back there with doubles.
They are also on 34' turbotills with 35' baskets behind. A nice match at 8 mph. The barracuda is a load.
Also have one on a 1300 bushel tracked grain cart with no issues. A 7000 gallon tanker on another.
I have regular quads to do heavy jobs. Maybe a 470 or 500 rt would be better for a larger 875 or tile plow.
You cant be too far from me if you would like to see them in person and talk. I deal with Redline and the guys in Bellvue could hook you up. The BG store has several of my trades sitting there for sale. | |
