Subject: Educate me on UAn stabilizers (Humic Acid or Nitrapyrin, ATS)

Being forced to make the switch from the trusty NH3 sidedness application we have been doing for years on our low CEC soils due to the fact in this area UAN is now the same price as Nh3 and the last nh3 supplier for the area is calling it quits,

I have tried UAN side-dress before both late and v5 timings but never seem to get the yield that Nh3 can get us in sandy soils, personally I would like to research the use of stabilizers to help bridge the yield gap as I think part of problem with UAN is leaching away affect we have here,

Can someone educate me or give their opinion on using N stabilizers such as Humic Acid or Nitrapyrin or ATS for the use of V5 sidedness application of UAN with a Coulter on Lower CEC soils. I like the idea of 2 or 3 post planting applications but the equipment and logistics become a nightmare perhaps some insight on some other tools can reduce the number of application while managing the N correctly for long term success,
