NW Iowa | Three components in that could be suspect
X13 high speed range (hare) solenoid
x14 low speed range (turtle) solenoid
X17 high/low speed range sensor
The solenoids are located on right side of transmission on the transmission control unit. (Valve bank with the nitrogen canister on it) They are 2nd and 3rd from left pointing down on the valve block. The coil should be 8.9 ohms.
The high low speed sensor is the one by the cable on the side of transmission.
First guess is crap behind that shield by the cable and range sensor. Does it shift one way and not the other? Onion is right, hopefully you didn't break the shaft that goes to the sensor and cable to the override station.
Next is to see if the wires are good on those solenoids and check your high low switch.
Start with easy then work your way too hard stuff.
You can also recalibrate the transmission. Supposed to do it after replacing certain sensors. You would need the service manual to instruct you how to do it.
