Subject: 2014 370 Case CVT Magnum fault. Very high tranny temp.

Elsmore, Kansas
Hired man has been running our 40 turbo max the last couple days. Been running bout 7 to 7.5mph 2 to 3 inches deep at around 95 to 100% engine power. He called me a couple hrs ago and said he had an alarm go off and it said tranny temp very high and it shut the tractor down. Anyway I went and looked the tractor over about an hr later and the tranny was still showing 205 on the temp and it shut down after about 30 seconds. I checked the oil cooler and it was a little dirty but not what I call bad. Blow it out anyway and fired the tractor back up. Temps dropped rapidly down to 176 but the minute I put the tractor in gear and started forward it climbed rite back over 200.. anyone have an idea what's going on?? The tranny filters r a yr old and have around 275 hrs on them.. I was told the filters needed service once a yr or 300hr which ever comes first. Could it be filters giving issue?? When I was running this tractor on the planter it was operating in the 175 tranny temp range. Is there some type of thermostat on the tranny that could be stuck shut?? According to the hired man it just all the sudden happened... TIA

I think it was transmission code 2198 or maybe 2298. I meant to take a pic w my phone but I didnt.
