Sorry you are having problems but id not recommend a disconnect or override of the metal protection.. I've heard one guy say that at my place, so then he figured out how to bypass the detector......... yup,,, the next job he did he ran a steel post through the chopper and did lots and lots of $$$$$ of damages.
