Western illinois | sounds good in theory. in reality, there are some out there who
refuse to go to the same lawyer or even talk after they leave.
i hate to say it, but if she waited until father's day to spring the news,
that doesn't say much for her character. as for saving what you've
worked for, check your state laws on the internet. in some states,
like illinois, it doesn't matter who saved what or who spent what or
who did what. post marital assets are mutual property. the best you can
hope for is an amicable agreement between the two of you. bottom line is,
it's the hardest thing you'll ever have to go through. sorry if this sounds harsh.
