| I guess I'm one. Ran over a duck nest cutting hay the other day. Mother duck went thru the haybine but never hit the eggs. Cracked one egg open and they looked about a week away from hatching. So I brought them home and hatched them out. Had eight baby ducks but on day 3 we lost 3. So I now have 5 that I take out to the kiddie pool several times a day for feeding. They can be fun to watch.
Anyone here with experience raising ducks. Still wondering what happened to the 3 that died. They seemed kind of dopey for a couple hours and then they layed on their side and would arch their head behind them. Was feeding them oatmeal and few flies. They're 5 days old now.
