| We had about an inch of rain in the Pratt area on Sat. am. Then things cleared off and we had a nice (but HOT) day. In the evening, we were scheduled to travel to Hutchinson. Poor timing. We got under that cloud you photographed, and drove through INTENSE rain for about 15 miles. Could barely see to drive---should have pulled over, but were scared we'd be "rear ended" by someone else.
Finally got ahead of the cloud, and it looked pretty impressive from the SE side.
We had another inch or more Sat. evening.
We had been cutting wheat with dry field conditions. No more. showboat | |
