I still think a simple, old-time, combine type rubber tire strip spinning spreader would make a world of difference and could not add more than a couple hundred dollars to the cost of a pea harvester. It would save that many times over the first season. whether working the ground OR no till OR anything in between the spreader would even out the residue.
