Alsace 47°52'46"N 7°24'30"E | My understanding, and partially my experience (30+ hour non stop test with EZ Steer on WAAS) is that pass to pass accuracy is better than advertised in most cases.
Beacon correction depends on distance from towers.
HP Omnistar correction is good, but quite slow to resync if signal gets lost
RTK is best for accuracy plus the only one that can give you a repeatability over time (comming to very same spot for planting after fall strip-tilling for instance).
As far as I know, there are 2 RTK base station signals: JD and the other brands: JD has it's own proprietary, all other brands are compatible with each other, all you have to know is their setup. Therefore, if an Iron Comp set up some base stations, go ask them for the price to use their signal.
There are some RTK networks that have been setup too that are even more interesting as their signal may be cheaper.
