I found a photo which shows us making Pluribus strips into harvested pea stubble. There has been some heavy rain in this heavy soil area in the couple days just ahead of making these strips. You can see we con get through it but look at the different amounts of residue even across the width of this 6R30 strip till machine. We are not entraining all this residue into the soil, differentially sucking/tying up N but it still is a good idea to spread that residue as close to the width of the head as possible. Here is the photo I found. Some of the residue in the distance fell back over the strip after we passed but not entrained and the planter row cleaners could sweep it aside, again. Why not just use a spreader????
