Subject: RE: Windrowed residue is a problem

SW Saskatchewan
Any reason the pea vines couldn't be baled for cattle feed?

If the weather is too hot and dry here the residue from the dry pea harvest breaks up to dust, otherwise it is baled and is a desired feed for beef cows.

Quite deceiving, a little windrow of pea straw will make as much feed as a big fluffy cereal straw windrow.
