Don't ignore the letter, call the court clerk and explain your situation if you truly can't serve. Every court is a bit different in how they handle hardship cases.

Please remember though, for the justice system to work, we need good people to serve on juries. The majority of people around the world don't get the opportunity to play a part in the justice system.
