Kittitas Co. Wa. State

Courts have a big "stick" and can wack you pretty hard for ignoring their Jury summons..

I've gotten a couple jury summons during the summer time. I honestly filled out the form and included a letter explaining my "job" and the working hours involved. I requested the court to send me a jury summons during the winter months when I wasn't working full time farming,, and would be glad to fullfill my civic duty. I was excused with no problem.

Few times I was summoned and did have the time to spend on a jury,, it was for a criminal trial,, the defense attorney asked what I did at that time,, " X years working in the jail,,"  The defense attorney couldn't get me refused fast enough...  LOL...

Ah-vaiure  (sp) (french term I believe)  is what it's called.
