Nothing against Veris, but I believe there is no substitute for the number of soil samples taken. In other words, the more samples the better. Until an accurate, on the go sampler is built, gridding may be better. Veris guys often try to put a field into 3 or 4 regions. That is OK if the field is less than 20 ac or so. You may not find a lot of varibility (with grid), but if your fields are larger than that (30 ac & up), chances are, you will.
