Here, we just use a hinge kit, and you can cut off the pin parts.
I like the idea but I've been finding that on bigger dia posts that I got restricted in the angle I can open the gates real quick with the gate 'loops'.
Thinking for here I need something that spaces the gate out another inch (maybe a bit more).
