That doesn't surprise me at all. He and land seem to have an affinity for each other. Have an older landlord that was an attourney in his professional life although his family has been involved in and knows about farming his entire lifetime. He invested extra money in land because "you know the dollar isn't worth anything" in his words. He basically said land would always be there and produce some kind of return. He did not have much faith in the stock market nor the dollar because of the devaluation of its purchasing power over his life time. John
