For too many years I've had to declare my farm as a "dependent" on my tax form--but every so often comes along a year like 74 or 86 or 96 or 2007 to keep me at the table.

Farming in Nevada you must have have realized that even in Vegas they have to let you win once in a while to keep you from leaving.

And that is why land is $2500.00 an acre in Iowa in 96 and $4500.00 an acre in 2006 and $6500.00 in 2009.

Keep throwing your winning back into the pot. Sometimes its farming money, sometimes its an inheritance, sometimes from the dot com or Calgary oil money.

But its easy come, easy go!

And deal those cards boy, you can talk tomorrow.
