sw ontario
Every barn will be different - Son weans at 23-25 days, 100-130 in 12' x30' room, 28.5 C , 4 nipple drinkers,2 cups and they go on a premium mash starter with lots of milk powder in it for 3-5 days, then a less complex diet for 7 days, then a early starter diet for 2 weeks and last stage of nursery is a starter-grower diet....We use Kenpal which is comparable to Ackey's......they actuqally do better weaqned than on the sow and are on full feed from day 1 in nursery.........ventilation,heat,water and good feed is essential---we did a re-pop llast yr. because of prrs & APP --so far inbelieveably better , healthier pigs
