jackson county WI | That seems pretty high cog. Was it health issues? Your adg seems good for background. Some guys got a niche for buying out of sale barn and doing well. Crete-garvo are a couple known here, I will be first to admit I suck at it. I don’t know if I just don’t have a good enough eye or what. I have to buy large, healthy, know of groups. I know cost of animal, cost of everything right down to bedding, electricity, manure hauling, etc. Major health issue is only thing that can screw this plan up. Know your cost! I forward sell or hedge on the board and know exactly what I’m gonna make before I buy the cattle. If there isn’t any money to be made I just sit on my hands until the market changes. | |
