What should they do? This is the only water source for a 1600 acre pasture.....

Drill a well, buy a trencher and put in about 1.5 miles of pipeline with around 6 tire tanks and fence into 3 pastures.

I know sounds horrible but they are going to have more money in that hole before it is all said and done and still won't be able to graze that big of a pasture right. We had several of them that size and bigger with one water source on a creek and best thing we ever did was pipelines, tanks and fence everything down to sections. Allows for better grazing and does nothing but increase the value of the entire place. Before all that was done we had several reservoirs developed and many more planned. They are great in the spring that is about it unless it is a wet year for that part of the world.
