I agree that Angus and John Deere has surpassed everyone in pushing there product.
Now all that said, there are some gum balls in every breed including Angus.
I was always told that it takes an Angus and Hereford to make a baldy.
I like Simmental Angus cross my self. Herefords I stay away from buying at the sale barn, really picky about angus.
I like Simmental Angus cross and smokes Char. And Angus.
That my opion.
