It might be easier to work on the openers of the air drill. Still have to crawl under to get to the front gang. The deere "air seeders" that are a cultivator with a row of double disc openers on the back are not worth owning IMO. For example the 730 and 1060. Tanks are fine on them and I wouldn't be scared of the right 1850 with a 787 tank, but imagine trying to run your drill right behind the cultivator.
Those 730 air seeders seem to work well for lots of people around here.



The 730's worked around here as well.  I could count 7 of them within a 5 mile radius.  Most have moved onto larger units but 2 of us are still running them.  Easy to work on and the dry years it saves you a trip across the field with the cultivator.  Never any wheel tracks, easy to work on compared to crawling around under a newer JD.
