Subject: RE: Propane transfer kit

Faunsdale, AL
I had a delivery truck driver that hired on with the local LP dealer drill several holes in my hose! Neatly drilled about 1/16"......what the........

I shortened the hose to cut off the part he ruined and never said anything. Guess I should have raised sand but he left their business soon after anyway. That was a 3/4" hose on a 250 gallon tank we mounted on wheels to pull around the farm for refilling tractors and the combine back in the 50's. Last few years it gets parked by irrigation pump, silage blower power unit etc. Call up LP gas co and tell them where it is and to keep it filled 'cause we're going to burn some gas!

Some of the really old ones have the fill port and both liquid and vapor withdrawal valves made into one fitting that screws into a single tank port. Only other port in the tank was for the gauge. I guess the liquid went to bottom of tank through the dip tube when filling.
