Subject: RE: Soybeans in Corn Silage

Not to sure about the nutritional benefits of the beans but from a harvesting stand piont I would be wary of it. My experience with row independent headers of both Claas and Kemper is that they like clean field conditons. When you get short weedy corn it makes for a long day of chopping. It may work better with good tall corn, don't know till you try, just my experience. Would you plant every 2nd or 3rd row?
