NW Iowa | There was a recommended upgrade from the early opti ride to the later opti ride plus. Most the '11 models were upgraded, the early were not. I have not priced the earlier units. I usually only use and deal in the '12 and later challengers and Massey's.
If you have a voltmeter you can check at the unit harness with it plugged in.
You should have 5 wires on the harness. Pin 1 is sensor power supply, pin 2 is sensor signal, pin 3 is sensor earth, pin 4 is solenoid earth, pin 5 solenoid valve signal. Check pin 1 for 12V and pin 3 for ground. If those are good check pin 2 for around .4 cab down to around 4.5V cab up depending on position. Don't worry about pin 4 or 5 because I don't believe your units have the solenoids on the side of them. You have the non adjustable cab susp if it hasn't been upgraded
If a sensor is fried you won't have any volts on signal wire. If you have a dead spot it is hard to find this way. Have to use EDT tool to find it. You watch each one as they go up and down on the computer and try and find one way off or one that jumps. It checks them in pairs the front have to be close to each other in values as do the back pair.
If you have a spare unit, you can plug it in and move the unit with the cab to fool it and find a bad one this way.
Also I have seen water get in plug and short the pins and connector.
