I chuckled when I told someone I had bought a truck in Vermont this fall.  He warned me that Vermont vehicles are bad to be rusted out.  Like I haven't seen cars and trucks in New York that have half the door eaten away or holes in the bed you can see through to the other side.  I will say that our local road crew keeps things very clean; maybe more than is justified, but it comes at the price of using a lot of salt.
