Subject: RE: Cattle and probiotics

Breckenridge, MI
We use a product from AgriKing called trilution. I feed a double rate from day 1 through day 28. I used to use a double rate of AS700 for that same period but when the VFD rules came down we needed to do something different. I won't say that a DFM is the end all/ be all of starting cattle but it seems to (on average) give us about the same results. The cost of the two programs is the same. The advantage to the DFM is that I don't need a VFD to buy it and I can legally own and feed as much as I want to. Plus if we have a problem group we still have the option of using a feed grade antibiotic.
