| Trip pressure on the IH 45-4300 field cultivators was 110 pounds, DMI Tigermate II through the Case IH 200 was 150 pounds and the new 255 is 180 pounds. There were a very small number of 4300s built using an optional S shank that had a 150 or 180lb shank load.
Shank spacing on the 4800-4300 was 6.7" and the Tigermate II though 200 was 6" with the 255 on 6.5" spacings.
The other big difference is shank arrangement, the IH designs had the second row 6.7" to the side of the front row, third row was 6.7" to the side of the second row and so on. On the DMI design the second row is centered between the front shanks, the third row fills in gaps around the wheels and then the fourth and fifth row fill in the gaps.
The first picture is the IH shank flow and the second is the DMI flow.
