Subject: RE: Case IH 4300 field cultivator

central mn
Just got done responding to a guy inquiring about Wil-rich field cultivators when I ran across this thread. I agree with Cliff, what makes the 4300 and for that matter a Wil-rich great with trash is shank spacing and frame depth vs a Tigermate. A few years back I sent a new Tigermate II back to the dealer and told them to bring my old Quad 5 back because it couldnt handle trash. Now, I think Case IH has finally listened and deepened the frame, increased the spacing between shanks and added a floating hitch on the new 255. Pretty sure they had all those features available on the 4300, so what’s old is new again I guess. Tigermate has a better shank design than the 4300 that’s a given.
