The patent may be over at some point, (I believe there is a process for extending, but not sure, plus they can tweak "something", and get a new patent), but the real problem is the license agreement you sign. It locks up the seed, and the seed produced by the seed, and the seed produced by the seed produced by the seed, etc. So, after the patent expires, where did you get this seed from, Mr. Farmer?
