Thanks Ed. That kind of changes my mind set of when given a choice of the tight or loose hole size when tapping threads. I always tried to use the smaller size,thinking that I would end up with much stronger threads,but it looks like all I was doing is to make the job harder and increase the chance of a broken tap in a blind hole.
