NW IN | So how's that work with, say, 175 or 180 bushel APH?
My gut says probably not nearly the layup you make it to be. High risk ground costs more per acre and per bushel to insure. Actuaries don't make 6 figures because they haven't figured that out. My risk factor from two adjoining counties can push the per acre cost difference to $20-25 per acre for identical coverage.
My point is not everywhere raises 211 bpa corn. Some of us are realizing that some ground just shouldn't be in corn or soy because it's high risk/low margin. | |
