![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=234&type=profile&rnd=164) Shaftsbury, Vermont (SW VT) | I don't know all the details, but the platform is lower to the frame of the tractor, the cowl is a LOT lower to the engine and all I have seen have lower tires, down exhaust, and a folding ROPS. Probably a lot of other differences, but that's what I have noticed.
6X00 tractors have a habit of chewing into the engine wiring harness where it runs between the clutch housing and the inside of the frame; when you fix or replace it, you can run it up and over the top of the engine mount on the right side. I did this on a 6200L and barely had room to get the harness through without removing all the plugs. So there is quite a bit of difference in that one area. As far as running, they are the same, but perhaps the L is a little more stable on sidehills. It is easier to get on and off.
