Conservation Cop is big on "cocktails" and recommended it to me earlier this year. Look at the building soil health and crop response after cover crops.

From what I gather, a cocktail is any mix of warm and cool season broadleaf and grass plants that you can throw together cheap w/ both fiberous roots for scavaging up extra N, penetrating roots to punch holes in the soil profile, and plants that fix N. There is some pretty good info out of U of Maryland about tillage radish.
